The event detailed several lectures on the impactful journey, which led us to raise awareness about the threat of asteroids, famous asteroid missions, and SAASST’s contributions to monitoring potential hazards that may affect our planet. The workshop discussed the ways we can avoid disasters and predict when they can happen using technology that already exists as well as equipment and projects that SAASST plans to build in the future. After the educational lectures, student interns and researchers were all invited to the planetarium for a special asteroid show before lunch. All in all, it was a very interactive and informative event that benefited everyone.
