SAASST Attends ANSYS Conference

The Sharjah academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology attended, on Nov. 09, 2022, the 9th Edition of Fluid Codes – Ansys User Conference in the Middle East.

The conference was an occasion for visionary companies from the Middle East to share their strategies for addressing critical engineering challenges using Ansys solutions. In addition, the attendees were exposed to the ANSYS power of simulation to propel them forward faster, especially with the ever-accelerating pace of innovation challenges. In addition to the different lectures, there was a panel under the theme "Challenges in Adopting Engineering Simulation and the need for Pervasive Simulation Solutions."

 

Mrs. Tarifa al-Kaabi from the SAASST CubeSat Laboratory gave a presentation titled "The Structural Analysis of Sharjah-Sat-1 CubeSat using ANSYS." She highlighted the CubeSat Lab and SAASST Sharjah-Sat-1 CubeSat, expected to be launched on Dec. 18, 2022. Prof. Ilias Fernini, the Space Sciences Department Director, participated in the panel discussion.
