In his intervention. Prof. Ilias Fernini emphasized that the role of a scientific communicator is to bridge the gap between the scientific community and the general public, conveying complex scientific concepts and discoveries in an accessible and engaging manner. He added that scientific communicators are crucial in disseminating accurate scientific information, promoting scientific literacy, and fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of science among diverse audiences. This role can also cover various subjects such as translating complex concepts, bridging interdisciplinary knowledge, engaging storytelling, promoting scientific literacy, building trust and credibility, adapting to multiple mediums, and facilitating dialogue and participation.
