The visit was intended to promote collaboration between the two research centers in the domains of space sciences and technology. 

Mr. Ali Alshehhi, the NSSTC Director, gave an overall presentation about NSSTC, i.e., structure, stakeholders, current project, and future missions. The National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC) has been established jointly by UAEU, the UAE Space Agency, and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ICT-Fund). The creation of the NSSTC was primarily motivated by UAEU's desire to strengthen its role and contribute to the nation's needs regarding Space Science and Space Technology to become a Space Science and Technology hub for the region. Prof. Ilias Fernini also gave an overall presentation, showcasing the SAASST structure and its different units (administration, planetarium, optical observatories, academics, and research laboratories.  

Several areas of collaboration have been highlighted, such as in GNSS, Ground Station, usage of NSSTC TVAC and Vibrating Tables, Light Pollution, and Earth Observation.
