This virtual online symposium focused on “recent innovations and knowledge empowering progress in physics” within GCC region. It was an opportunity for Physics community across GCC countries to come together, show off what they're working on, and learn about the research that others are doing. This virtual symposium included keynote presentations by prominent personalities from GCC countries in addition to both oral and poster presentations.
The symposium was a real platform to exchange information on relevant issues, have open discussions, knowledge sharing and interactive sessions with field experts. It did also create an environment for extensive discussion and potential collaboration with researchers across GCC. The symposium was also an occasion to promote interactions among researchers in GCC to create avenue for collaborative research grants applications using all available GCC forums.
The three presentations given by SAASST researchers are:
- Impurity effect on entanglement and spin relaxation in Heisenberg spin systems
Speaker: Noora Alameri, Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, UAE
- Understanding Accretion in High Mass X-Ray Binaries
Speaker: Antonios Manousakis, University of Sharjah, UAE
- New Era of Space Sciences Research in the MENA World
Speaker: I. Fernini, Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology, UAE
