The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology organized a lecture titled "The Beauty of Astronomy in the Arabic Language" on Jun. 21, 2023. The presentation was given by Eng. Amel Al-Hammadi from the CubeSat laboratory. Eng. Amel delved into some verses of the Holy Qur'an related to astronomy and their possible scientific interpretations.

Astronomy holds a profound significance within the Islamic faith, showcasing the awe-inspiring beauty of the universe and serving as a gateway to spiritual contemplation. Islam reveres the celestial realm as a testament to the greatness and perfection of Allah's creation. The Quran frequently references heavenly bodies, urging believers to ponder upon the heavens' intricate design and harmonious functioning. Islamic astronomy, historically advanced and deeply ingrained in Islamic civilization, played a pivotal role in fostering scientific inquiry and intellectual curiosity. Through the meticulous observation of celestial phenomena, Muslim scholars made groundbreaking discoveries and devised accurate calendars for religious observances. The beauty of astronomy in Islam lies in its ability to unravel the mysteries of the cosmos and in its capacity to inspire a sense of wonder, humility, and gratitude towards the Creator, encouraging a deeper connection with the divine.
