The workshop's main purpose is to highlight the advancements and future of aerospace and space activities in the United Arab Emirates and to connect industry partners to establish mutual collaboration efforts.

The workshop started with an engaging opening ceremony that marked the introduction of the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and ASPIRE. Both are part of the vision of Abu Dhabi's Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC). A panel of industry experts followed after the introduction and opening remarks were initiated. The first panel delved into the pivotal "Role of Innovation in the Future of Aerospace," featuring esteemed speakers Dr. Ray O. Johnson, CEO of TII and ASPIRE, alongside Dr. Mohammed Alahbabi, former Director-General of the UAE Space Agency and Senior Advisor of Edge. The second panel, titled "Charting the Future of UAE's Aviation Value Chain," brought together Brian Long, Managing Director of BOEING in the MENA region, Ersin Inankul, Head of Aviation Digital in Jacobs, and Dr. Gustavo Dos Santos, Chief Researcher of Propulsion and Space Research Center at TII, to explore crucial insights. Lastly, the discussion, "Overcoming Barriers to Advance UAE's Space Capabilities," featured luminaries like Abdulla Almarar, Head of Space Projects in the UAE Space Agency, Dr. Ali Alshehhi, Director of NSSTC, Prashanth Marpu, Vice President of R&D at Bayanat, and Dr. Roberto Sabatini, a distinguished professor in Aerospace Engineering at Khalifa University. The event concluded with a group discussion regarding the challenges and success factors for key aviation and space industry trends, fostering collaboration among experts in the space and aviation domains.
