The University of Sharjah fully participates in this global non-governmental and non-profit organization. IAESTE benefits students, employers, and universities through the IAESTE internship program. Paid internships abroad help students gain professional experience and cross-cultural skills. Employers and universities gain access to talented international interns who bring new impulses and insights to their business or research. IAESTE provides primarily STEM internships.

Eng. Farhan Shahriar from the Aeronautical and Aviation Science and Engineering (University of Bangladesh) spent two months at the CubeSat Laboratory to learn about CubeSats and their use in delivering low-cost missions. Engs. Abdulrahman Suleiman, Ahmed Al-Tunaiji, and Fatima Al-Khateri were the main supervisors of Eng. Farhan for the two-month internship period.
