The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology, as in the previous years, organized several activities related to WSW 2020. All of the SAASST departments (planetarium, academic, and research) participated in several virtual lectures and workshops. Since the central theme was satellites, the SAASST CubeSat presented three lectures related to Sharjah-Sat-1, the first 3U CubeSat dedicated to observing in the X-ray band.
