SAASST Solar Observations

With the continuous increase in solar activity, daily observations at the Sharjah Optical Observatory show that many solar prominences extend to more than 120,000 km, appearing in more than one region around the Sun.

Last week, a coronal hole emerged and spewed a stream of solar wind toward Earth, generating geomagnetic storms.

SAASST actively participated in the recent UAE Space Agency Hack4Climate Hackathon held during COP28, showcasing its commitment to sustainability in space technology.
