Radio Astronomy Workshop

The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences,  and Technology organized, on May 30, 2023, a “Radio Astronomy Workshop” consisting of several specialized lectures on observational radio astronomy.

Picture of HST Crossing the Moon

On a mesmerizing night in the vast expanse of space, a breathtaking event unfolded on May 22, 2023, as the Hubble Space Telescope gracefully embarked on its daily observations of the cosmos, crossing the serene path of Earth's faithful companion, the Moon.

The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology organized a seminar on May 24, 2023, titled "Is Astronomy Better from the Ground or Space?".

The CubeSat Laboratory at the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology participated in the University of Sharjah's 15th Research Forum with one single poster related to the development of CubeSats at the CubeSat Lab.

The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology is building a large radio interferometer with a baseline of 0.6 km. The Sharjah Very Long Baseline Radio Interferometer(SVLBRI) comprises nine 5-m parabolic reflectors SPIDER 500A antennas located in the city of  Sharjah, UAE.
