The "Tamayuz Academy of India" has organized a special forum to celebrate the UAE Golden Jubilee. Dr. Sabir Nawas Mohamed, the Director of the Tamayuz Academy, expressed his warm greetings to the UAE people and leadership at the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the creation of the United Arab Emirates. Great trading ties exist between the UAE and India that go back centuries. The Indian Academy has invited several professionals from the UAE to highlight the UAE's achievements in arts, education, and space exploration. Prof. Ilias Fernini, the Deputy General Director for Research at the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology (SAASST), showcased SAASST's contribution to the UAE space program. SAASST, with its different units (academic, planetarium, and research laboratories), is playing a vital in promoting the UAE space exploration vision.
The UAE Mars Hope Mission of 2020 has opened the way for hundred of UAE nationals to specialize in space from the science and technological point of view. These future professionals are much needed for further space exploration like the "Rashad Moon Rover" planned to be launched in 2024 or the Venus mission scheduled for 2028. For 2117, the UAE is working to establish a permanent Martian base. These programs require a very special task force of space engineers and scientists. The creation of so many space centers, like SAASST, in the UAE is a positive note that the UAE stands firm among the space powers like the USA, Russia, Europe, China, and India. More is to come for the next 50 years.
Happy Golden Jubilee for the UAE.
